She brings more than 30 years of experience as a nurse, executive, and entrepreneur, with a career focused on solving the workforce challenges hospitals and health systems face every day.

J.J. began her career as an ER and ICU nurse at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, and that bedside experience still shapes how she approaches every conversation: the right staffing strategy is the one that supports safe, high quality patient care. She went on to build three companies across the healthcare staffing continuum, spanning nurse staffing, executive search, and interim executive leadership, and later held key leadership roles at AMN Healthcare.

At ShiftMed, J.J. works with CNOs, COOs, CFOs, and CHROs at health systems across the country on internal workforce and float pool strategy, local clinician marketplaces, and technology that helps leaders put the right clinician in the right place at the right time. She serves as Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and President of the Critical Care Nurses Society Ghana. She is also Faculty Chair for Critical Care Nursing at the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives.

Her professional experience spans critical care practice, nursing leadership, education, workforce development, curriculum review, and health-service improvement. She has contributed to national and international initiatives in critical care education and nursing workforce development, including expert curriculum and professional practice reviews.

She is widely recognized for her strong clinical expertise and her ability to lead transformative, evidence-based educational initiatives that enhance patient safety and improve clinical outcomes. She has played a pivotal role in advancing the early recognition and escalation of patient deterioration through simulation-based training, bedside coaching, and the implementation of standardized clinical frameworks.

Christine holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing, majoring in Education, Leadership, and Management. She is recognized for her expertise in clinical governance, workforce development, simulation education, and quality improvement. A passionate educator and active international speaker, Christine has presented at global conferences and academic forums on topics including nursing leadership, person-centered care, dementia care, clinical deterioration, and healthcare transformation.

Throughout her career, she has successfully led innovative healthcare initiatives, including the development of patient deterioration recognition strategies, respiratory protection programmes during the COVID-19 pandemic, and person-centered dementia caregiver education programmes. She is also an active researcher whose work contributes to advancements in nursing education, dementia care, and digital transformation in healthcare.

Dr. Regina Schneider is an accomplished nurse leader with more than twenty-four years of leadership experience across large healthcare organizations, private physician-owned facilities, and regional hospitals. Following her retirement from Cleveland Clinic, she has spent the past three years serving in interim and transitional leadership roles, bringing stability, strategic insight, and operational expertise to teams during periods of change. She earned her BSN and MSN from Ursuline College and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with High Distinction from Chamberlain College of Nursing. She also holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Cleveland State University. Since 2013, Dr. Schneider has served in adjunct preceptor and mentor roles for nursing students from Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Kent State University College of Nursing, Ohio University, Case Western Reserve University, Benedictine University, and Chamberlain College of Nursing. Her professional focus includes caregiver development, leadership growth, and process improvement. She is passionate about mentoring nurses and healthcare professionals as they pursue higher education and strive to practice at the highest level of their abilities. Dr. Schneider has presented at national conferences and remains active in professional organizations, including the local Cleveland AORN chapter, where she has served in leadership roles such as board member, nominating committee chair, nursing scholarship chair, and national conference delegate. In 2017, she conducted a quality improvement research project focused on surgical processes and patient experience. Esmeralda Suarez, BSN, RN, CEN, MICN, CLIN III, is an Emergency Department nurse at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center with more than 20 years of healthcare experience and over 18 years of emergency nursing practice. She began her healthcare career as an Emergency Medical Technician before earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Mt. San Antonio College in 2008 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Fullerton in 2010.

A recognized leader in sepsis quality improvement, Esmeralda has been an active member of the Emergency Department Sepsis Task Force since 2010 and has served as Co-Chair since 2015. In this role, she helped lead initiatives that contributed to the organization's first Sepsis Center of Excellence certification, during which the sepsis program was recognized for implementing best practices in sepsis care. She continues to advance and implement evidence-based sepsis care across the continuum.

In 2026, Esmeralda joined the hospital's Sepsis Steering Committee, serves as Co-Chair of the Housewide Quality and Safety Council, and is a member of the Housewide Ambulatory Care Council. She Obtained her Mobile Intensive Care Nurse Certification in 2010, and earned her Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential in 2025, advanced to Clinical Nurse III in 2025, and became a Magnet Champion in 2026. Esmeralda is passionate about mentoring new graduate nurses and educating staff on the early recognition and treatment of sepsis to improve patient outcomes.

Sandra is an experienced healthcare leader and public health professional with significant experience in community-based service delivery to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has worked primarily in health and human service organizations and implemented three large Federal grants aimed at improving access and care for vulnerable populations. Sandra holds a Master’s in Nursing Administration and Leadership. She maintains certification as a Montessori Dementia Care Practitioner and a Developmental Disabilities nurse. She volunteers with her local Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT).

I began my nursing journey in my mid-thirties after nearly a decade as a manager at FedEx Ground. While that role provided valuable experience, I felt called to pursue something more meaningful—to serve a greater purpose beyond logistics. My lifelong love of learning and desire to make a tangible impact on people’s lives led me to nursing, a field I saw as offering both purpose and endless opportunities for growth. Before becoming a nurse, I earned a B.A. in English with a concentration in writing and a minor in Women’s Studies from Indiana University. I later returned to school to earn my Associate of Science in Nursing (A.S.N.) from Ivy Tech Community College Northeast. Over the course of my nursing career, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including step-down, rehabilitation, and intensive

care units. My experience also includes over a decade as a clinical educator at three different hospitals, as well as leadership roles such as Director of Quality Management and interim Chief Nursing Officer at a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital.

While I’ve enjoyed each of these roles, my greatest passion has always been mentoring and nurturing the growth of new nurses. That passion inspired me to pursue further education through Western Governor’s University, where I earned both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) and a Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) with a focus in education. Two years ago, I returned to where my nursing career began—as a faculty member at Ivy Tech Community College Northeast. In my teaching, I emphasize the art of nursing as much as the science, believing that compassionate, competent care is essential regardless of a patient’s background, socioeconomic status, or the current political climate. This fall, I’ve taken the next step in my academic career by joining Trine University’s School of Nursing as an Assistant Professor. I remain deeply committed to shaping the next generation of nurses and helping them understand that empathy and clinical excellence must go hand in hand.
