Ngala is a global health expert with over a decade of experience
leading public health programs focused on tuberculosis (TB),
HIV, and health systems strengthening across sub-Saharan Africa.
Originally from Cameroon and now based in the United States, she
brings a unique cross-continental perspective to tackling global
health challenges. Dr. Ngala holds a Ph.D. in Public Health with
a focus on Epidemiology and Healthcare Administration. She has
served as Executive Director of the African Initiative for
Health and Research Promotion, leading community health and TB
programs. Additionally, she has held leadership roles with the
Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and the Delegation of
Public Health in Cameroon. Currently a Community Expert with a
research program at the University of Utah, she advocates for
equity in health systems and refugee care.
Over the years, she has been recognized with several awards for
her contributions to TB diagnostics and public health
innovation.Growing up with the motto “prevention is better than
cure,” Dr. Ngala is committed to advancing integrated,
evidence-based approaches to infectious disease control. At this
conference, she will share insights on TB-HIV co-infection
management and strategies to improve treatment outcomes among
vulnerable populations.
